Vision, Mission and Objectives

The VISION of ISTH is to To become  a Centre of Excellence in Teaching, Research and Service with particular reference to the health problems of rural and sub-urban/small urban town communities and the diagnosis, management and control of viral haemorrhagic fevers, with special reference to Lassa Fever.

 

Its MISSION is to provide specialized, affordable, accessible and qualitative promotive, preventive and curative health care services for our patients,engage in research and teaching activities and serve as a Centre of Excellence for the diagnosis, management and control of Lassa Fever.

 

The Objectives are to provide:

a.         Full range of Specialist Services to communities in the catchment areas

b.         Clinical facilities for the Training of Medical Students

c.         Facilities for Medical Research

d.         Facilities for Residency Training and other postgraduate medical education.
